Little did I realize that my book would also launch my vision of Wealthy University. My dream has always been to provide a full spectrum of seminars, products and consulting services that encourages, guides and facilitates wealth. As we get ready to unveil the first in a series of Wealthy U programs, I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes from Simple Abundance by Sara Breathnach
The heart does not charge for carrying a dream from conception to delivery no matter how long it takes.And the heart does not charge more to carry a large dream rather than a small one. Do not be concerned with how impossible it may seem, how long it takes or detours along the way.
Step 1 - be clear about what it is you want for yourself and others. Step 2 - cooperate both on your internal consciousness playing field and the action steps you take in external world. Wealth is external, but the Wisdom to create it, appreciate it and use it well is an inside-out job.
Debt Busters 101
If you read newspapers, watch TV news, or listen to the radio, you're hearing lots of financial gloom and doom. It would be foolhearty to say there is no reason for concern, but consider also that there is a new awareness about being a conscious consumer. Pretending credit cards solve money problems or forgetting to be a good steward of money sets up some very real negative blocks to becoming truly wealthy. Rather than stay stuck in the past debt, consider that the best way to heal the past is to learn its wisdom lessons, move on and do it differently.
Reducing and eliminating past debt and changing the debt-creating beliefs and behavior patterns that caused the debt is the first step to becoming Wealthy U. With this in mind, the very first new program from the growing Wealthy U curriculum teaches you how to legally reduce and eliminate the energy drain of debt by negotiating with creditors.
There is no need be ashamed or lose sleep over the harassing phone calls and letters. Rather, the best thing to do is to take action to change the situation. Most people do not know there is legal protection from unreasonable collector hassles and that you can negotiate your way out of debt legally with self-respect and dignity.
My good friend and attorney Deanna Brown reminded me that anyone at any income level can become a "victim" of unscrupulous collection agencies. She has had first-hand experience, but also has the knowledge, expertise and financial backbone to handle obnoxious collectors promptly and with minimum hassle.
